This article will guide you through the process in GridPoint Intelligence to do a temporary Setpoint Override.

Override Profiles
To create an easy way to control override settings across multiple sites, GridPoint Intelligence has introduced Override Profiles.
Creating Override Profiles

- Navigate to the Settings Library.
- At the bottom of the page is the Override Profiles section.
- The GridPoint Recommended Profile will be set as the default.
- To create a new Override Profile, click the clock icon to the right of the Override Profiles section title.
- Name the new profile.
- Select the override parameters you would like applied for the profile.
- Allow Overrides: This toggle allows the override profile to completely turn off override abilities for local sites. Admins can change this profile as needed per the standard procedure.
- Max Duration: This dropdown allows for the maximum length of overrides to be selected for the override profile. The maximum override period can be anywhere from one (1) hour to twelve (12) hours.
- Max Temperature Change: This is the maximum temperature change in degrees that can be selected for the override profile. The maximum temperature change can be anywhere from one (1) degree to ten (10) degrees.
-
Allow Cancel on Schedule: This toggle will flip the overridden unit back to regular schedule whenever there is a scheduled change.
- For example: We implement an override of a 2 degree decrease in temperature for 4 hours. The schedule would normally switch over to a higher temperature around hour 3 because our site is no longer occupied (this is part of the standard Comfort Setting - see comfort settings articles for more details).
- If the toggle is set to allow cancel on schedule, the override will be turned off and return to the standard comfort setting.
- If the toggle is set to off, the override will continue for another hour and then revert to the standard comfort Setting.
- For example: We implement an override of a 2 degree decrease in temperature for 4 hours. The schedule would normally switch over to a higher temperature around hour 3 because our site is no longer occupied (this is part of the standard Comfort Setting - see comfort settings articles for more details).

- The override profile can be edited at any time. After updating, those edits will apply to every site and asset that the override profile is currently assigned.
- Clicking the 3-dot icon next to the Override Profile name allows the user to Edit the Profile Name or Delete the profile.
Applying Override Profiles to Assets
Applying Override Profiles to Individual Assets

- Click the Settings cog icon.
- At the bottom of the Settings page is the dropdown to select an Override Profile.

Bulk Application of Override Profiles to Multiple Assets

- Click the Filter Assets dropdown and select “Show HVAC Assets”.
- Select all or some of the assets by toggling the checkboxes on for every HVAC asset you wish to apply new Override Profiles.

Temporary HVAC Setpoint Override
- From the account page select Assets.
- Scroll down to the thermostat that is being adjusted and select the stopwatch symbol.
- Slide the snowflake or fire left or right to override the setpoint.

- If you have an Override Profile that has Allow Cancel on Schedule toggled ON, you will be given an additional option to select.
- Cancel on Schedule OFF- allows the override to go the entire selected duration.
- Cancel on Schedule ON- reverts to the scheduled setpoint when a new schedule profile is initiated during an override period. The override will be canceled and return to the normal schedule from that point on until someone overrides the HVAC asset again.
- If you have an Override Profile that has Allow Cancel on Schedule toggled ON, you will be given an additional option to select.

- Save the override.

- Once the override is in place, you will see the yellow “Override” icon on the HVAC asset card.
- Clicking the red “Cancel Override” icon will cancel the override.

- The “Current Schedule” entry shows how long the override will last.
- Temporary Setpoint Overrides last one hour.
