This article will guide you troubleshooting power issues with the EC2000. If the EC2000 will not power on, or cuts on and off again, this guide will provide guidance for how to resolve the issue. If the issue cannot be resolved, a replacement may be needed.

Power Issues

  1. Locate the controller.
  1. Check for power LED
    1. If there is a power LED, but the controller screen does not appear on, follow these steps.
  2. Inspect the power supply
    1. Confirm barrel connector is firmly connected to the device.
    2. Check the splice between power supply and the barrel connector.
      1. If there is no power, the splice will need to be redone.
    3. Confirm wiring is firmly connected to the transformer.
    4. Confirm plug is firmly in place at the outlet/power supply.
    5. Check breaker to ensure power
    6. Unplug the power supply from the device or the wall and wait a few minutes before plugging them back Wait for the device to power back on.

  1. Is there physical damage?
    1. If there is physical damage, contact GridPoint Support for more details.
  1. Perform a soft reset.
    1. With a paperclip or something of a similar diameter, press the reset button located to the immediate left of the ethernet cable on the underside of the (Image 1.2)
    2. If not powered on, contact GridPoint Support for more details.
