What is TrueTime?

TrueTime streamlines the management of schedules and setpoints across theater sites by enabling automated HVAC configuration driven by your showtime schedule. By uploading a CSV file with your event data (exported from your cinema management system), you can quickly map showtimes to your auditoriums and deploy event-driven conditioning across multiple locations.

This scalable approach simplifies the implementation of complex scheduling strategies while helping optimize energy consumption. By ensuring heating and cooling are delivered only where and when needed, TrueTime reduces energy use in unoccupied spaces and supports more efficient facility operations. The system starts conditioning before each show and shuts down between long gaps, ensuring comfort during showtimes while minimizing runtime during unoccupied periods.

CSV Upload for TrueTime, Cinema Showtime Automation Process

1. Add a Space (reference this article Overview - Spaces for more details)
   1. Name the space
   2. Select the HVAC units that should be included
   3. Click Save
2. Select Space Schedule Automation from the left hand icon menu

3. Select the automation source (just one option currently - Upload CSV. As they integrate with other systems, it will show those systems here
   1. Click "+Upload CSV"
   2. Select the CSV from your computer (This would be an export from their system to drag and drop, or they can use the download example CSV from this window)
   3. Click "Upload"
4. Go through the bottom of the screen to map the fields from the CSV to the fields within GridPoint Intelligence. They will need the following fields:
   1. Site ID
   2. Space Name
   3. Show Date
   4. Show Stat Time
   5. Show End Time/Runtime
   6. Show Title
5. Save
6. You can then view schedule. Additionally, if an HVAC belongs to a space it will now display the space name on the asset card.
