Systems - GridPoint Intelligence - Schedule Exceptions
This article will guide you through the process of completing a Schedule Exception in GridPoint Intelligence.
Table of Contents
A schedule exception temporarily replaces a Space’s normal schedule for a set of dates, such as a holiday. With Spaces, you apply an exception to a Space, and it runs for every HVAC zone in that Space.
Creating a Schedule Exception
- From the site’s page, go to the Settings Library.

- Scroll down to Exceptions and click the clock with the + icon to start a new exception.
- Name the exception and select the open date and close date. This takes two separate clicks to continue to Set Dates.

- Add the Primary and Secondary schedules for the exception.
Applying a Schedule Exception to a Space
- Click the Sites button on the sidebar and select the site.
- Open the Spaces view, then open Space Settings for the Space.
- Click Add Schedule Exception and choose the exception from the dropdown. It applies to every HVAC zone in the Space.

Applying a Schedule Exception to Multiple Spaces
- Click the Assets button on the sidebar.
- Use the Filter Assets dropdown and select Show Spaces.
- Select the Spaces you want to update by toggling their checkboxes on.
- Scroll to the top and click Add Exception, then choose the exception to apply across the selected Spaces.

Note: “The last change made is the one applied. For example, if an override is made in GridPoint Intelligence at noon and a setpoint is changed directly at the thermostat at 2pm the same day, the change made at the thermostat takes precedence.”
