This article will guide you through troubleshooting when a customer is calling in to troubleshoot fan issues with a TS101 thermostat. This is for situations where there are true performance issues and not when the customer is requesting a temporary override circulate air.

  1. Locate the TS101 thermostat.

 

  1. Check that the power LED is illuminated.
    1. If the power LED is not illuminated, reference the TS101 Power Issues article.
  2. Is there physical damage?
    1. If yes, contact GridPoint Support for more details.
  1. Check the thermostat’s fan mode and verify it is in either “on” or “auto”, depending on what the customer is expecting to have.
    1. Fan is “on” mode: This means that the fan will be always on. Checking the schedule can verify when this status should be set to “on”.
    2. Fan is “auto” mode: This means that the fan will only blow when the thermostat is actively telling the HVAC unit to operate.
    3. If the fan is set to “on” or “auto” but not running, contact GridPoint Support for more details.
